Welcome to the Wornington Green swap shop. This is a public space for Wornington Green residents who want to sell, swap, or gift pre-loved items while preparing to move to your new home.
We’ll only advertise this swap shop to residents on the estate.
What can I sell, swap or gift?
If you’ve got any pre-loved clothes, children’s toys, shoes, ornaments, books, costume jewellery etc this is the space for you.
You can also include larger items such as furniture, but please remember you’ll need to arrange how this will be moved when discussing your sale or swap.
How does this space work?
We've set up a map tool to help you upload photos and information about pre-loved items you want to sell, swap or gift.
The map works by dropping a pin on the map near to where you live – a bit like when you drop a pin in Google maps when you're trying to find a location. You and your neighbours can then view each other's items, by clicking on a pin, and get in touch to discuss selling or swapping them.

How to upload a pin to show what you'd like to gift, sell or swap
1. Click on the + on the map to add a pin
2. *Drag the pin to where you want it to sit on the map. It should be close to where you live but doesn't have to be exact.
3. Answer the questions and add a photo.
4. You're all done - it's that simple!
*If you're dropping a pin on a phone or tablet, press on the + and select your pin as above. The pin will drop on the map automatically, but you can move it to where you want it. When you're happy with the location, press the set this location button above the map, answer the questions, and upload your photo.
How to enter your details on the pin to show what your item is:
- Complete some quick questions about your item to help your neighbours know more about its age, condition, etc.
- Upload a photo of your item(s) to help your neighbours find out more
- Provide your *contact details such as a mobile number or email address so other people can get in touch about your item(s) if interested.
*Please remember that this is a public forum meaning people will be able to see these details. We strongly recommend that you don't post your address for this reason. Please give this to people privately once they make contact about your item(s).
If you're interested in an item
All you need to do is click on a pin on the map, look at the items, and if you're interested, please get in touch with the person using the details they've provided to arrange your collection, swap or payment.
